Hello! My name is Cate Hogan, I am finishing up my last year in my environmental science degree at the University of Vermont. Through my studies in ichthyology and marine conservation, I have developed a deep love and interest in the ocean, pivoting my career into the realm of marine biology. Some topics I find really fascinating are the functions of life in the deep sea, polar biology, and marine plastic pollution. I hope to write engaging and accessible pieces for LegaSea Ecology and to perfect my voice as a writer.
